Applying Teak Oil
Although, teak wood does not require oiling, many people like the natural golden orange color that teak wood furniture becomes when oiled. If you do decide to apply teak oil to your teak furniture, follow these simple guidelines:
Remove previously applied teak oil from past years. |
Make sure the teak wood is completely clean and dry. If the teak still contains moisture you might end up with ugly spotting. Allow your wood to dry 72 hours after a rain (or longer) before applying teak oil. |
For weathered teak, first apply teak cleaner to restore the teak to its “new” natural color. Follow the instructions included with the formula used. |
To keep your teak furniture looking fresh for years, repeat annually or as desired. |
